The intentional and repetitive use of movements, signals, and gestures provide cues to activate meaning for selected vocabulary. These cues help children recall and repeat words which enhance language use and comprehension. With infants and toddlers, cues can be few, simple, and concrete. For older children, they might enjoy select movements and gestures in the moment that can be used repetitively throughout the activity and as the theme is continuously explored.
